The SystemNetwork EngineerAdministrator position will be responsible for Project Offices on the East Coast as well as remote support for International Offices and national offices in coordination with the IT team. Responsibilities include: local Desktop and Server support to 3 offices on VA/MS area. Network troubleshooting on WAN and LAN issues, Backup or primary support of Firewalls, Windows Servers, routers, Company wide applications such as Appextender, Intranet, SQL, Exchange, Citrix, VMWARE, Hyper V, Kaseya, Netscreen, Cisco, SharePoint, etc. Ideal candidate would be a go getter who needs minimal supervision and is proactive on projects and optimization of IT functions. SQL administration is a plus. Initially the position will also include help desk support to quickly acclimate to the Corporate Enterprise, followed by morning support for East Coast and Central Offices.

We are a very close IT team that completely supports each other as team and will assist one another when needed and expect the same from each other. Each member will be allowed to lead companywide projects based on their experience in addition to local duties.

Required Skills

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft LANs

Microsoft or Cisco certification

Recent hands-on experience with Windows server (Windows Server 2008 and 2003) and workstation (Windows 7) environments is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED

Must have proficiency with Active Directory, domain controllers, IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, and remote access

Exchange 2007/2010 Experience is highly Desired but not required.

Recent experience building, migrating and/or upgrading Windows Server, Exchange Servers, Firewalls (e.g. CISCO ,Netscreen,) is highly desired

Experience in medium large size network environments while also supporting 2 local offices

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred with 3+ years experience or 5+ years experience with proper Certifications

Ability to independently perform and/or manage, from start to finish, small to medium network projects such as network upgrades and network installs – includes providing direction to other engineers who may be supporting the project

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Ensure strict adherence to departmental policies and procedures such as change management, configuration management, and security and access control.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred

Security experience very desired including IDS/IPS systems

SQL experience is highly desired, including but not limited to Queries, replication, and general administration

Top secret Clearance a plus, or ability to get upon acceptance

Project management and previous consulting experience with small and medium sized businesses and associations preferred

Desired Certifications: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) in one or more IT fields.

Practical experience with Linux and Apple a plus; experience with Blackberry preferred

Hands-on experience with local and wide area network.

Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities;

Strong technical knowledge of current hardware, protocols, standards, and best practices.

Experience in Dell Servers, desktops and laptops

Experience in HBA’s and SAN technology preferred

Administer the AD, FTP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, WINS, IIS services

Experience in building Virtual Servers using VMware and appropriately size and configure for optimal use

Experience in assisting in Virus Management, preferably Kaspersky

Experience in Windows workstation and server Patch Management using either WSUS, Kaseya or other related solutions.

VoIP management

Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010

DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy

Firewalls and routers, Cisco ASA ideally

Backup Exec experience with Tapes, Acronis Image backups, Replay Server

Wireless networking

Some Linux experience proffered

U.S. Citizenship required

Must be able to successfully pass required background checks.
