Job Description
Participate in the design and software development cycle for various cellular wireless communications technologies, such as UMTS, EV-DO, LTE and WiMAX. Responsibilities will include design specification, simulation, embedded programming, system integration and system testing and characterization of MAC and PHY functions. Participate in embedded software development that will typically be carried out on DSP or embedded cores but may include functional block design for FPGAs. Responsibilities will include Matlab and C-based modeling and formulation of algorithms for wireless communications systems. Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
3 years of experience in the job offered (Sr. Wireless Software Engineer) or 3 years of experience in the occupation of Engineer in the field of Wireless Communications.

Academic background or work experience to include:
Implementation of digital signal processing and/or communications algorithmsOne year of experience with implementing signal processing algorithms on FPGAs or DSP cores
Implementation experience to include DSPs from at least one of the following: Analog Devices, TI, Qualcomm, or picoChip, or FPGAs from Xilinx or AlteraFirmware development using Assembly language, VHDL or RTL programming.
Academic coursework covering at least one of the following topics: digital signal processing, estimation and detection theory, digital communications or wireless communications.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
