Job Description:Role Mandate:
The Sr. Store Implementation and Support Analyst
Provides third level support for store systems and
interface technologies. Actively participates in the
assessment of applications, systems and/or hardware
under consideration for purchase and integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, testing, implementation, documenting and

training for all software and hardware changes to
systems in HBC stores across Canada

  • Introduction of new hardware/software technologies

into HBC stores and implementation of store systems in
new and renovating stores

  • Oversee the IT installation of technology and systems

in new stores and renovations from floor-plan through to
production, hardware procurement, statement of work and
vendor management

  • Effectively evaluate and test new software/ hardware

to ensure integration into company systems meets
functional requirements, system compliance, and
technical specifications

  • Active participant in the assessment of applications,

systems and/or hardware under consideration for purchase
and integration

  • Support the store systems ensuring the store’s ability

to serve customers and facilitate retailing processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma, preferably in

Computer Science or Information Technology

  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience evaluating,

implementing and/or supporting technology products, in a
medium to large Information Systems environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

advanced business and technical writing

  • Strong working knowledge of data communication and

computer systems/network experience preferably with
Cisco Wired Network and Cisco Unified Wireless Networks

  • Experience in Active Directory, Group Policies and IE

and/ or other network administrator and/or database
experience

  • Hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs,

(Microsoft SQL Server a plus), automated testing tools,
and reporting software

  • Windows 7/XP Professional and Office version 2007/2010
  • Proven knowledge of internet communication, LANs

(cable and wireless topologies), cabling, (both copper
and fiber optic installations), and industry best
practices
