MISSION: The Senior Director of Wireless is responsible for driving the development of our Wireless product strategy and managing vendor relationships that support building the business. This position is also responsible for the day to day operation and implementation of Wireless marketing and distribution programs.DUTIES: Work closely with the VP, Broadband and Telecommunications to establish and deliver Wireless business goals Responsible for the execution and implementation of Wireless product, marketing and distribution initiatives Responsible for contributing to Wireless strategy and goals. Communicate performance updates with Management on an on-going basis Contribute towards meeting expense and revenue targets and operating within the annual budgets for the Wireless business Support Executive Management in achieving UOLs overall business goals. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partners, vendors, and peers in the Broadband, hosting, and telecom industry. Continually develop ideas and execute strategies for growing the Wireless business. Proactively investigate and pursue new Wireless-related initiatives. Provides support for UOLs resale business and collaborates with functional groups to support implementation and ongoing operation of resale initiatives. Works closely with Telecom vendor account teams to address business issues with Telecom partners
TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Masters or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong technology background and a minimum 5 years of experience in the wireless industry in technical and business roles. Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferred Ability to effectively operate and manage a business unit, including cost management, crisis management, and management of inter-departmental projects. Relationship Management with Partner Companies. Superior negotiation, sales networking, business development and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills including an understanding of basic accounting and finance principles. Ability to create and evaluate business models and execute on opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to negotiate and close deals.
