Our IT-Development team is searching for a Speech IVR Developer who will work with other TracFone and third party resources to build speech recognition capable solutions. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work directly with the internal clients to understand their needs, explain the solutions proposed, and answer any questions they may have. Once a solution is agreed upon the candidate will work with a team to implement that solution ensuring quality and consistency. Candidate will be utilizing AVAYA Dialog Designer and Nuance OSDM to facilitate the creation of the solutions and will spend a significant portion of the time working with this tool set.

Responsibilities:
Develop and modify Speech IVR applications using Dialog designer – Development of bi-lingual applications in English and Spanish, including administering bi-lingual speech through applications.

Ability to understand call flow/User Interface specifications and create technical designs, system requirements and specifications.

Work with the Senior Manager towards lowering Software Maintenance costs.

Work with basic Java and J2EE technology with basic understanding of Application Server such as Weblogic.

Unit test changes and coordinate Integration testing efforts with two QA teams. Responsible for satisfying respective teams on the functionality of the developed applications and obtaining approvals.

Provide help with speech recordings. Manage local database changes, writing SQL scripts.

Required Skills

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related area of study.

4 years of Java development and design skills for large IT systems. Telecom experience is a big plus. The prospective candidate needs to have knowledge of J2EE, Application server, XML, Design patterns and algorithms.

2 years of IVR development and design skills.

The prospective candidate needs to have some Knowledge of Apache, Unix, and Eclipse.
