The Bell Business Markets Wireless Solutions team offers industry-leading wireless LAN (“Local Area Network”) and WAN (“Wide Area Network”) based solutions and is accountable to deliver best-in-class, repeatable wireless data solutions for the large enterprise business market. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who will lead the delivery of large customer projects for the wireless practice in the Ottawa market.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and direction on large WLAN design, performance engineering or problem resolution projects.
• Performs architectural planning and design for enterprise scale wireless networks, including both RF design and WLAN network design.
• Accountable for WLAN configuration and integration projects.
• Verifies RF test results and provides recommendations to address RF coverage and performance issues.
• Provides operational support for complex wireless network deployments.
• Performs expert level troubleshooting in a large scale wireless network environment.
• Share knowledge and provide mentorship to other members of the wireless team

Required Skills:

• Five + years experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise WLAN networks based on Aruba and / or Cisco wireless technology
• In depth knowledge of 802.11 wireless technology
• Superior RF Design, RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting skills
• Advanced understanding of wireless architecture and design issues in a complex enterprise network
• Thorough understanding of WLAN security and network management
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying key WLAN applications including Secure Mobility, Voice over WLAN, Location Based Services, and Wireless Guest Access
• Strong internetworking skills including IP networking, LAN Switching
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies with proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and on budget
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.

PREFERED CERTS:
Aruba – ACMA, ACMP (asset)

Cisco – CCIE-Wireless, CCNA-Wireless (asset)

CWNA, CWSP, CWAP, CWNE (asset)

Education:
Typically requires a minimum of a post-secondary technical education / engineering / computer science degree or equivalent plus 5-10 years experience in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
