Senior Consultant – Medical Devices – Cambridge

A growing technical consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join their organisation within their medical devices sector. Having significant experience as a sales manager, you will be responsible for the new business and strategic direction within medical devices team. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your existing sales skills from the product development sector within this highly renowned consultancy.

As one of the leading developers in medical devices industry, you will become part of an innovative consultancy that is the leader in applications for the healthcare and wireless medical technology industries. With your strong technical, medical product development and commercial skills you will be responsible for the direction of a number of projects and new developments with companies in this industry. You will take on a business development role to carry out market analysis to understand the wireless medical technology marketplace, in order potential product development partners. A number of these projects could include developing business within the drug delivery systems organisations, instrumentation companies and medicinal products companies for their product development and manufacturing needs.

As this role is largely customer focused, you will have excellent written and spoken communication skills and the medical devices or healthcare industry sales experience to talk to a large number of different clients. With a vast experience within the medical devices you will have a large network of contacts and be confident in building new relationships within the industry.

You will have an excellent academic record with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, life sciences, physical sciences or other relevant technological discipline. Although this position is based in Cambridge, you will be required to meet clients on a regular basis which could include international travel.
