Hallmark Field Merchandisers are responsible for maintaining the greeting card departments in all or our wholesale and retail businesses. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
In the Hallmark Card Department, you will replenish, straighten, and track inventory of the every-day and seasonal greeting cards and specialty items which includes gift wrap, party supplies and other stationery items. This position will require you to lift boxes up to 50lbs as well as stoop, squat, walk and stand for long periods of time. If you store is being revised, reset or remodeled you are expected to be present and participate in the activity. You will use technology (internet and/or a handheld wireless device) for various job activities, reporting time and viewing policies and information.
In this position, you will serve as an on-call floater for 2 Walmart stores located at 919 Highway 1 W in Iowa City, IA and 2801 Commerce Dr in Coralville, IA. You will provide back up to the merchandisers in the stores to cover vacations and sick time as well as provide additional support during busy holiday times. You must be available to work as needed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s, during the morning hours, especially during busy seasonal periods. You must start your work day by 11am (no earlier than 8am) and you must also be available to work up to an 8 hour shift the day before and the day after any major holiday. Although hours are not guaranteed, you will typically work 1-5 hours each week during non-seasonal times and 6-10 hours during busy holiday periods.
