Aerotek’s Client, an industrial contractor in the mining and facility construction industry, has multiple openings for Journeyman, and Apprentice Pipe/Steam Fitters. These positions will be on rotation (Fly-in Fly-out) to Northern, BC. Our client will fly candidates in and out of all locations across Canada.

Project Details

• Project is located North of Prince George, BC
• These openings with be fly-in fly-out (FIFO). The rotation is 20 in and 8 days out.
• Project is scheduled to run until April 2013.
• Flights and accommodation are covered by our client; however employees are not paid for their flight time.
• Candidates will fly into Prince George and then shuttle to site.
• 2hrs of travel is paid for both the trips in and trips out of site (shuttle time to site).
• The hourly wage is $39 hr for Journeyman Fitters.
• Shifts are 10-12 hours long. 6 hours at straight pay and 4+hrs OT at time and a half (1.5 x $39).
• There is a $1 per hour premium if required for night shift.

This project is new construction of a large mining operation. Fitters will be working alongside other trades as part of a team. The ideal candidate will come with a minimum of 4 years experience and 2 years on mining projects (other industrial site experience is accepted as well, for example, Oil & Gas).

Candidates will be staying in a new camp with great facilities, outdoor sport courts, gym etc. Candidates stay in their own private room with lockable storage and cable TV. Cell reception is TELUS only however there is free wireless internet on site. This camp 100% dry.
