Job Title: Manager – Optical fiber program deployment

Information on Division/Hiring Department/Career Opportunity

As a project manager within the FTTH Engineering group, you will be part of the wide and dynamic Network provisioning team. The preferred candidate will work closely with the outside plant engineering groups, our builders and contractors and the marketing group to support delivery and rollout of the strategic fiber to the home program into the Quebec province.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The preferred candidate will have to perform the following responsibilities, more specifically:

• Plan milestones that need to be met by stakeholders to deliver the project.
• Apply and maintain effective project control in order to ensure tracking and on-time project delivery.
• Manage weekly follow-up calls.
• Communicate results to operational teams and General Managers
• Act as a facilitator with the different groups to find solutions that are required to deliver the project.
• Initiate new processes and document them

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

• Proven experience in leading virtual multidisciplinary teams
• Strong analysis capacities
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong negotiating capacities. Team player
• Autonomous, comfortable in a non structured environment. Able to deal with pressure
• Strong capacity for oral and written communication both in French and English.
• Good leadership capacity, dynamic, sense of initiative and efficiency.
• Excel knowledge – Intermediate to High – Create and analyze databases and reports using vertical lookup functions and pivot tables.
• French language is essential, intermediate to high skillet in English.

Preferred Qualifications /Competencies:

• University or College degree in engineering, computer science or related disciplines, PMP certification or relevant business experience
• Telecom network provisioning and associated processes knowledge
• Experience in project or program management
