We are looking for a SW-Systems engineer to join our TD-LTE engineering team. He or she will be responsible for defining LTE network architecture as well as feature of LTE RAN. Understanding of the SW and HW implementation as well as theoretical analysis of the protocols, products will be necessary to analyze the performance of various Network elements. He or she will also be owning software support of lab and field activities. He must be able to analyze software issues, drive providing SW patches and driving patch process.
Candidate must be strong both in air interface protocols as well as end to end network architecture. Travel to the customer and field locations will occur as necessary to perform job functions. Interaction with the customer will also be necessary.
Experience with wireless networks, architecture and protocols
Experience with LTE/WiMAX/UMTS network, standards and protocols. E-UTRAN and EPC experience is desired
Experience with resource allocation, mobility management, QoS in Wireless network.
Strong background of air interface technologies which includes RLC, MAC, PHY layer protocols.
Must have SW development experience. Must have hands on the perform code review, provide SW fixes and drive patch process.
Experience with IP QoS, End-to-End QoS and traffic shaping, preferably in wireless networks
Good understanding of wireless network evaluation, 3GPP & 3GPP2 standard activities and FCC spectrum allocations.
Fluent with 3GPP Release 8 & 9 technical content.
Experience with design/development/verification of protocols
Experience in troubleshooting issues in lab/commercial networks.
Working knowledge of various RF antenna technologies & network optimizations is required .
Experience with network performance analysis
MS/BS EE or CS with minimum of 5 years of experience in wireless infrastructure is required
Experience with C/C++ development/or strong testing background.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel sporadically for customer presentations, design reviews, and onsite debugging.
Ability to work and communicate with a broad set of team members of varying knowledge base.
Eligible to work on a W2 basis without sponsorship.
