Performance Management: Meet and exceed regional sales objectives through the management and implementation of all sales, marketing, merchandising, and advertising/promotional programs. Responsible for motivating, coaching, and training employees in the Indirect channel. Analyze work activities, and set performance measures in support of the Indirect channel’s business plan.
Operations Management: Responsible for managing the overall operations, budget, and quota of the Indirect channel. Analyze reports / sales results, and develop action plans designed to increase sales productivity. Responsible for assigning sales modules, market coverage management, and regional sales promotions and contests. Allocate quota to sales team based on historical sales results and market opportunity.
Channel Growth: Direct local contract negotiation and start-up implementation of new accounts, as well as new distribution marketing, advertising, and sales strategies for new and existing accounts. Manage all contract negotiation issues between agent/retailer and VZW.
Customer Retention: Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments throughout the company to analyze issues impacting the Indirect channel, and recommend, develop, and implement process improvements.
Staffing / Employee Relations: Ensure that the Indirect channel is staffed to optimal levels. Make decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Oversee the professional development of Indirect channel employees.
5-7 years of sales, marketing, training, and/or customer service experience required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
PC proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Superior organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and operations skills are required.
Prior successful sales track record, proven leadership ability, and knowledge of wireless industry required.
This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
Proven success in customer resolution/satisfaction and complex problem-solving is required.
Candidates should have excellent decision-making and leadership skills, and possess the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve sales objectives.
Ability to present to various audiences.
Some field travel required.
