The Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Channel Communications, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing engaging and attractive communications that drive sales and support strategies, tools and tactics. As such, it requires a highly motivated, dynamic, innovative and results-oriented individual who will execute best in class communications while spearheading strategic initiatives to continually evolve and improve channel communications

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, manage and execute marketing driven communications through content development and creative design to front line employees to drive sales and support initiatives (Client Care, Retail stores, and F2F).
  • Identify and manage potential opportunities to utilize new communication methods to
  • Engage and interact with the front line employee base.
  • Accountable for ensuring the wordings of every communication piece is optimal and
  • understanding how those words will be interpreted in the field.
  • Support marketing and operational launches with on-time, creative and dynamic communications and execution.
  • Develop strong relationships at various management levels within the channels and liaison regularly with the senior management team;
  • Responsible for developing and communicating key business messages to a variety of internal audiences;
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with Bell Mobility’s business units;
  • Project manage implementation of new tools to channels;
  • Utilize team metrics, reporting and gauge competitive landscape to drive innovation and communications initiatives.

Critical Competencies:

  • 3 to 5 years of Communications experience coupled with post-secondary education in communications or related business area.
  • Must have a insatiable passion for communications.
  • Persuasive and motivational communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess a strong focus in attention to detail.
  • Experience with marketing communications, branding, advertising copy, graphic design and marketing is an asset.
  • Strong creativity and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Possess strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

Preferred Competencies:

  • 3-5 years sales experience with a history of over achievement performance
  • Previous major Account experience
  • Previous management/supervision of a sales team is an asset.
  • Telecom sales experience would be ideal
  • Skilled in solution based or consultative based selling techniques
