BSS-OSS Senior Sales Engineer / Solution Architect

Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture team leader in the Sales organization of our Telecom practice, the candidate will: identify, develop and lead BSS-OSS solution architectures in support of our pre-sales processes. Teaming-up with one of our Account Executive, the sales Engineer will build deep understanding of a specific customer account and associated needs to drive and deliver Though Leadership and innovative ideas and solutions.

The required Solution Architect is a Telecom business and BSS-OSS subject matter expert, mastering the Service Providers industry trends, dynamics and the associated industry solutions.
Working in close collaboration with the Account Executive(s) and the delivery teams, the Solution Architect will:
Act as a Sales Engineer in support to the Account Executive and sales team during the sales cycle
Act as a high-end consultant to gather/extract customer needs and priorities; develop trust with peers in the customer organization in order to identify opportunities.
Lead multiple solution groups and /or vendors to develop comprehensive solutions meeting business opportunities, triggered from self-initiated proposals and/or in responses to RFI and RFP
Invest in growing and maintaining know-how of the industry trends, capabilities, business challenges, industry solutions to be recognized as an SME in that space
Transform the trends, business challenges and product knowledge into Thought Leadership and opportunities for our customers
Leverage and bring to contribution expertise from other teams as a complement to his own knowledge in building customer solution proposals.

Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in IT software engineering and development of large scale mission critical applications, as well as Solution Architecture (Business, Application, Data, Infrastructure and Security)
o University degree in IT
o Experience in the recent technology architecture reference models (ex: SOA) and IT technologies (ex: J2EE, UNIX, Web Services, Middleware solutions, Web/App servers, , etc.)
Minimum of 5 years of pertinent and recent experience in a Role of sales engineering in the Telecom industry domain (wireless and wireline background).
o Good understanding of the Communication Service Providers (CSP) business, challenges and opportunities
o In-depth understanding of BSS-OSS industry solutions
o Awareness of the industry directions and standards, such as TeleManagement Forum

The candidate must have strong soft skills in leadership, consulting, strategic thinking, planning, and communication/presentation skills including CxO level discussions. The candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to be autonomous, agile in managing customer relationships as well as being motivated in generating and winning ideas for customers to help them meet their business objectives.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture would be an asset.
