Assistant General Manager
Lower Mattagami River Project, North of Kapuskasing,
Ontario

Remote Division seeking a dynamic individual to fill the
role of Assistant General Manager. This role requires
your ability to work a rotation schedule of 20 days in
camp, 10 days out of camp.

Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the General Manager to deliver on defined

sales targets for On-Site Service Solutions (food and
facilities management services to ensure that Sodexo
enjoys targeted aggressive and profitable growth

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify key

areas of growth potential including identification,
prospect qualification, organization survey, proposal
development, proposal delivery and contract negotiation.

  • Develop and manage a structured pipeline of new

business potential using Sodexo’s sales qualification
processes

  • Establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial

business relationship resulting in highest levels of
client and customer satisfaction and account retention,
and future business growth plans

Growth and Development:

  • Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Facilities or

Hospitality Management, Business management, Business
Administration

  • Familiarity working within a unionized environment is

an asset

  • Required to have a strong background and superior

Aboriginal Relations skills.

  • 10 years of Marketing and Management within larger

facilities or hotels

  • A minimum of 10 years in a similar role
  • Experience working with, facilities services, food

services, grounds, housekeeping, maintenance services

  • Integrated Facilities Management Experience, FMP

certification is an asset

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a

diverse team

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other

related data

  • Planning, organizing and effective time management

skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication

skills

  • Proven negotiation, project management and relationship

development skills

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, anticipate

and solve problems and meet established goals and
objectives

  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Ability to work on a remote site camp and the schedule

above (20 days on site, 10 days off)

The LMRP camp is a remote camp that is located 1 1/2
hours north of the town of Kapuskasing, Ontario. Will be
required to fly into Timmins, Ontario and take a 4-hour
shuttle bus to the camp. The camp is a modern camp
facility and the successful candidate will be assigned
an individual room with wireless internet and a 42” flat
screen TV.
